I'm very excited :jig: to announce the CanvasCampers partnership with Somerset RV Forum  :goodstuff: , Coleman Owners Group  :goodstuff: and The Best Campgrounds.com  :goodstuff:

During our software upgrade, we have partnered with some of the camping and outdoor industries best, both new and old.
The websites are CanvasCampers.com - SomersetRVForum.com - ColemanOwnersGroup.com - TheBestCampgrounds.com

So, you are probably wondering how this will affect you? Not by much.  There might be a few new forum boards later but nothing crazy.  We will have the same website and share many of the great resources available here with new members that have a love for camping and the outdoors.  Forums, Manuals, Recipes, Campgrounds, Group Rallies, Sweepstakes, Etc. These sites have different main pages (domains) and share the CanvasCampers database.  If you join one site, you are registered and can log into them all.

This is the same great website that YOU have helped make what it is today.  The owners and moderators haven't changed, we are just meeting an industry need.  Thanks for your patience and support as we continue development.

I hope this works out for the best.  I have seen cross-site memberships succeed and I have seen them hurt a site too...

I think this site will succeed !

The difference here is the partnership is not being created by having other existing sites join and merge them, it is being created by the staff here by adding new sites and services.

Example, the campgrounds database when complete and working the way we envision it can serve more that just popup and tent campers. A review good or bad from all users of a campground is important, so if we create a site dedicated to the campground reviews (and link it back here) they we can attract a wider audience and get a better product.

Another example is type specific user groups, like a Coleman Owners Group. Starting an entire new forum just for that amount of users wouldn't make much sense since a good mod is a good mod, but there is an opportunity to have some extra board that serve the specific needs of a Coleman owner. By sharing the forums between the sites, everyone gets the good information, without having to look at tons of boards to find their specific information.
