Wow, not exactly something I'd plan. But to each his own.

I'm thinking that Dutch oven lasagna is probably the first dinner in camp.

Hmmm, meatloaf ready to reheat, baked potatoes pre-baked, and a veggie. All hot items, since the possibility of a cool evening exists. Plus, leftover meatloaf makes a great sandwich the next day :chef:

I definitely think I'll pass on the L & O. Not only for the first outing but I can pretty easily say it won't be on the menu at all, this year and / or any year to come. My first camping supper this year will be brats, beans, and some potatoes and veggies in a foil pack, all cooked on the fire. For desert we will have either s'mores or campfire cones and all will be good in the world.
Now I'm hungry.

I think I have to agree with others to pass on the liver & onions. The only liver I eat is liverwurst.

I could go for some DO Jambalaya and cornbread.

One of our friends made it during our spring break trip last year and haven't had any since.
