You're right, Jimmy - except for the worms!! We brought the SodaStream last week and that worked out really well. This is the 2nd time using it for camping and we love it. Next step is to bring the Keurig but - hey - we need some roughing it once in a while. Only worms would be gummy worms! 😀 Hope you're liking your SodaStream.
Breakfast is usually set out around 10 AM since we're "on vacation." 🙂 We could do a DO and CrockPot group breakfast at the SE Rally if a lot of folks would be interested. Camp Cooking Preference is the topic and that would be my preference -- a potluck breakfast buffet! Whoo-hoo!

And why aren't you guys coming to the Georgia spring rally thing? Lol
Well with towing a 4000# popup in a pickup that gets 9 miles to a gallon on a good day..... can we say.... no. but........
I have "airplane" camped in GA. Years ago I was a flight instructor and commercial pilot. The way we camped was to take a high wing airplane, fly to a grass field airport, tied down and throw a 40' tarp over the high wings and we had an instant tent. I can say I camped in about 60 airports all over the country in the airplane. Many locations in GA, SC and FL.

CampingPhil, you might be a Redneck if....you camp under an airplane wing with a tarp on a grassy field! 8) ;D

I think that would be alot of fun for the ones of us that will be there on friday morning. Count me in!! 🙂
I didn't vote as 'same as at home' wasn't a choice. I use my PUP kitchen, both range and microwave just as I would at home. In hot summer weather, I will use my portable oven outside vs heating the camper. I do grill steaks, but will also fix casseroles for multiple meals. I use my pressure cooker also for faster cooking.
I take the grill and do the burgers and dogs as old stand-byes for one or two meals. We will also do foil packs as well as trying new things in the dutch oven. One of our favorites is spare ribs. I also once in a while bring my smoker and will smoke whole chickens or ribs if we have a nice size group. I have found that smoking is the best way to meet neighbors. They have to smell all the good things cooking for hours and come over to see what smells so good. :chef:
The Spring Opener at French Creek is almost here, and I'm just now planning our menu. I have it just about done except for Sunday morning breakfast. I'm doing ham and cheese omelettes on Saturday morning. But am out of ideas for Sunday! We're tired of creamed chipped beef a.k.a. SOS, the usual bacon and eggs, etc. What to do, what to do???

I don't know if you guys like oatmeal, but that's getting done up for our Friday rally group breakfast along with two Dutch Oven Mountain Man recipes. I'm making the steel cut oatmeal in my CrockPot with the fruit & nut (easy on the nuts) mix from Costco. Throw in a bit of salt, some honey powder (if you want it sweetened), and add milk and a dab of butter if that is your preference. I'm going to experiment if there are leftovers to make cookies by adding a couple of things and then bake a batch.

My favorie oatmeal flavor I made up is to use a little (tsp) of brown sugar and a big dash of pumpkin pie spice. I'm not diabetic, but I am watching my sugars. I've recently discovered that my almost daily oatmeal habit (LOVE OATMEAL) although great for my cholesterol is terrible for blood sugar. So...oatmeal is off the menu for a while. Actually I'm being very careful with carbs for all of us, so pancakes, biscuits...all out. <sigh> Still, it is vacation so maayyybe we have some carbs.
