Dutch Oven Recipes - Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake
2 eggs beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
4 tsp. melted shortening
2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
Dash of Salt

Sugar Mixture:
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

In your Dutch oven, combine the eggs, milk, sugar and shortening. Mix well with a wooden or plastic spoon. Now, add your flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Make sugar mixture in a small bowl. Use about half of the sugar mixture to make four mounds on top of the batter. Use a plastic handle to swirl the mounds of sugar into the batter.

Put the Dutch oven on the coals for about 20 minutes. Then sprinkle the remaining sugar mixture on the top of the coffee cake and let bake for another 10 minutes.

Sounds really good.  Will give it a try.

So, how big of a dutch oven and how many is it supposed to serve.  Yes, I know this answer is probably 1  😉

Fritz-Monroe,

The video is really good.  Says they used a 12" oven and used 8 coals on bottom and 16 on top.
