I am getting a gallon of shucked oysters in their own juice..I want to grill them and add the juice and sauce..want them "hand friendly" For friends straight off the grill...can you buy clean, cook-able oyster shells ?, Is their any other kind of "Container" you can think of for individual oysters on the grill..??

thnks, vern

How about something like a deviled egg tray?

How are you going to grill shucked oysters?  I've only seen them grilled while still on the shell.

Get a crappy old sheetpan from a thrift store.  Line it with kosher or rock salt.  Grill away.

For grilled oysters, I think you really need them in the shell.  Just wash them well, getting all the sand and mud off, put them on the grill, covered with a heavy burlap or old bath towel soaked in water (keeps the steam down on the oysters, i believe)  you'll just have to trust you guests with some oyster knives.  heck, shuckin' half the fun.  small pan of butter on the edge of the grill for dippin'!
