This is the one we used before the PUP. This is at Camp Bell Campground in Campbell, NY near Corning last August.

Best Regards,
Norm
My 2 cents, but probably worth one.

acenorm: That tent is , in my opinion, the best darn thing they ever came up with, but the tent insert is hard to find. Dicks used to market that insert for their 12 x 12 canopies and their 10 x 10 canopies but they have stopped selling them. The one you have there is from Wal-mart and uses the 10 x 10 First up canopy as the frame. I have been using the 12 x 12 from Dicks for years, and in some pretty nasty weather, and have had no issues. My son and his family have the same 10 x 10 that you have and they have had no problems either. I think some one came up with a great idea here and I can't believe that we don't see more of them. How do you like yours?

We loved it, and I don't know why they stopped making them as well. This is the Wal-Mart one that was made for them by Ozark Trail. I actually bought my brother the same tent when I saw it on the shelf for $39.00. We moved up to a pop up, but we still have the tent when friends go with us and don't have anything. It is has tons of room, ventilates great, good tub floor and set up is a snap. I would definitely recommend this style tent to anyone. This is a picture of my brothers set up with another First UP as a "porch" this past October. We used the tarp to keep the rain from between and it worked out great.

Best Regards,
Norm

I just got a N2U Coleman Redwood 10x12 tent.  Looks like I'd be using it this weekend at the Frances Slocum Rally.
Does anyone know what this little screen door is for in the second picture?  It's about 10-12" inches wide and the bag/paperwork doesn't mention it or show it in their pictures.

We think ours is for the placement of a fan for a breeze across your sleeping area-the floor.  and you could use it as a doggie door, or for the extension cords that run fans and such.

Might be for a fan or cross ventilation.  The screen doesn't open.

You could also use it for A/C, just put the unit on a milk crate.

(I can't seam to upload a picture)  The tent is a Kodiak model 6120
 cabin tent.

This is what I've purchased to replace the pup.  I've always felt too cramped in the pup.

That last pic is cool ( or should I say cold ) I remember a few outings like that in our pup where we woke up to a dusting of snow. Good times.

This was our campsite on Labor Day weekend at Lazy A Campground in WV. A great little place with sights along a creek for swimming and fishing! We really enjoyed our new tent! It's a Northwest Territory Front Porch Tent. Now easy to set up and gets us out of the rain when needed. Nice having plenty of room to sleep! ;D
