I try to go twice a year by myself for a night or two. I have taken the pop-up once. If going by myself I typically just take a tent. I recently acquired a camper shell for my truck so I guess i will be sleeping in it now.

For many many years we had a seasonal thing.  The rule was either take it off the site during the week or come out to the site on Wednesday.  So I spent many many Wednesday nights in the TT SOLO.  I would scoot off to the CG after work, go turn on the heat or A/C (depending on weather). Then I would leave the TT, go to Mickey Ds, bring it back to the TT, eat go to bed.  Get up Thursday, maybe take a dive in the pool (weather permitting), walk around the CG (if too cold to swim). Then leave to head back to work.

Now that my son is out of school I have lots of opportunities to go solo.  I don't mind the solitude.  Get up early and enjoy a good book sitting outside while the campground wakes up around me.  When I am alone I am on my time and no one elses!!!

last summer we were asked at the last minute to our friends cabin, but they don't allow dogs, so the dog and I went for 1 night.

I love to go alone, mostly backpacking.  A day sent exploring and then preparing food and sleeping under the stars (or rain) is very rewarding.  As free time is precious, when we can go, my lady and I are together which is great too.  There's nothing quite like going alone.  I think it's the solitude.  The only problem is the flack you get from your family because it's not the safest choice!

For those that PUP camp alone, do you leave the PUP hooked up to you TV?  Or do you use something to guide you back to it?  There are a number of gadgets to use, and would like to see what people are actually using.

Thanks!

I use the two tennis balls on telescoping rods I got from Wally world.  Not ideal but helps.  Actually I've gotten good enough at it that most of the time I'm only a few inches away anyway. So in and out of truck a few times gets me hooked up.

I have gotten pretty good at getting lined up with one or two times in and out of the TV.  I always have to hook up alone at home when loading so I get lots of practice.  If someone in the campground offers to help I let them, but it is not necessary.  Only thing I have issue is with rolling up my awning which I have not mastered by my self.  However, there is always someone willing to help me when I pack up!!  If I there were no other campers I would not be above rolling it the best I could and sticking it in my car and dealing with it at home!!!  Nothing is going to deter me from camping, even being alone!!!
