Follow signs for campground. The turn into camp ground is a large wooden and stone sign that says "Visitors Center".  (Not campground)  The lake and day use areas are very large.  There are lots of hiking trails, we drove to the Pump House Trail to the Jones Mill Run Dam and took pics of water fall.  It was well worth the hike, trail is slightly uphill, but wide and covered with gravel, well shaded too.  The waterfall is really a dam built in the mid 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps.  It is all hand hewn and laid rock.  Looks like steps and you can climb up them, but be careful, they're algae covered and darn slippery.

Camp sites: It rained a fair bit while we were here, and did not do too good a job with recon, however:
The creek widens out near playground, and it is cold and clear.  Showers were clean and everything worked in bathouse #3.  We stayed on site 254. Site angled down to the rear. And ground sloped down and away, not ugly from the parking pad.  Site 269 is quite long.  Sites 259 & 261 are very short.  Site 246-254 are nice sized, 246 is full sun and it works its way to full shade at site 255.104 is bottom of hill, 269 is up the hill and still going up as it rounds the bend.  205 going to ward 172 is going down hill.  203 -172 are full shade, and only 20 amp.  172 and 173 co-join.

Pet Camping sites are in a more open area.  There are trees, but lots of grass too. So partial shade at best.

Campground purchased wood was very green,  needed lots of kindling to get it going properly and dry it out.

Would love to return here.  On the way in from turnpike we passed Glades Pike Winery which was very nice, and we made a donation  ;).  Which we enjoyed quitely, around the campfire later.

Drove into the Da Burgh on Saturday to tour Heinz Field, ride the Dusquene Incline, and eat.  It was a fairly easy drive, directions to Heinz Field were good, as was the waether and that helped all the more.  You could also drive to Ohiopyle and white water raft, or do the Zoo/Aquarium in the city, also a Casino right by Heinz field, and remember Primanti Bros Restaurant.  The subway will be done in 2013 and will connect the southern part of city right to Heinz Field.
