Cherry Hill booked.  Yes, they do honor the military discount for retirees.

Not that we've been to many here in Florida but we've been to a few but hands down Manatee Springs in Chiefland.  It's perfect for camping, canoe rentals, and what we like the most...there are 2 different scuba sites that we adore on site.

Little Sand Bay in the WI National Forest. Owned and operated by the Town of Russell, WI on the South Shore of Lake Superior. When we first bought our pup, that's where we went. Came back over the summer with friends for a long weekend trip. Has a walking museum of one of the first fishing families in the area. Nice playground for the kiddos if you need it and sandy beaches along the water.

So hard to choose because there are so many beautiful state parks in Michigan. We really like PJ Hoffmaster SP and Platte River Campground in the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Also, Ludington SP is great too. Hard to pick just one.

We have several state & county parks in our area that are very nice. Here is one of my favorites http://www.woodburyparks.com/l.....sioux.html
Only issue is they don't open until May 1st. I'm not going to wait that long this year  🙂

There are 3 areas in Oklahoma that I say are must sees:

Beavers Bend SP: http://www.travelok.com/listin.....ile/id.422

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge: http://www.fws.gov/refuge/wich.....mountains/

Chickasaw NRA: http://www.nps.gov/chic/index.htm  (formally Platt National Park)

All three show the diversity in terrain that can be found here in Oklahoma. We visit all three at least once a year.

THis is a tough question.  We have been to many places in PA, and there are things about each one that we like.
I say my current top three are (in no particular order) Otter Lake CG, Prince Gallitzen SP, and Ives Run ACOE CG.

Otter Lake CG, in the Poconos area is a resort style place with activities, large lake, indoor pool, and hot tubs.
Prince Gallitzen State Park, near Altoona PA, Large lake, Modern Bathrooms, Paved roads, Bicycle park with jumps.
Ives Run Army Corp of Engineers, near Mansfield PA:  Large lake that's ok to boat on with gas motors, Beautiful views, and three styles of sites.  Full hook up, very level sites.  Elec and H2O up onthe hill over looking the lake.  Primitive,no hook up  sites, out onthe point away from the rest.

I guess ours would be Highlands Hammock... The staff is so friendly, numerous hiking trails, a primitive camping area were we can ride the cart around and see an array of wildlife, they participate in the geocaching program, and it's close to home...

Just back from 5 nights at Crooked River SP in St. Mary's vicinity of south GA. This park is nicely designed where river sites are private and large while the interior sites are great for larger motor homes and 5th wheels to maneuver easily.  Crooked River is close enough to St. Mary's and the Cumberland National Seashore to add some sightseeing into the mix. The campsites are mostly pull through, large or heavily wooded on each side, or out in the sunshine near the field by one of the two restrooms/bathhouses. There's even a small selection of cable channels for cold nights' viewing when the campfire burns down as well as a small and interesting nature center and gift shop. The boat launch has parking and is needed because water access is next to impossible on the park's bluff (campgrounds) with the steep and possibly dangerous climbs down to the "beach." We've now added this one to our "favorites."

A second favorite is McKinney Campground in Acworth, GA, where "our" rallies are held. That is a COE with nice facilities and a beautiful large lake. We rate it a favorite because of the scenery as well as all the fun we've had with camping friends and ralliers.

We also liked Vogel SP near Blairsville just south of the TN border. Again, the campsites were big. We found in the GA state parks where we've camped that the sites are large, more so than the COEs where we've camped.

All in all, Georgia has some awesome state and federal campgrounds. We have never stayed at a private park, so I cannot comment on any of those.

I have camped at Private, State, Co.Gov't/Park and Leisure, Corp. of Engineers. All have their ups and downs! I would have to say I enjoyed camping at Riverbend Campground near Hiawassee for it being secluded in the mountains away from any highway and next to a beautiful river. Nice and Quite! They have full hookups, some drive through sites, even cable tv, saline pool. Sometimes, they have gospel or bluegrass bands playing on saturday nights in a open pavillion.
I always enjoy camping with friends and fellow rally members where ever they want to camp together.
We love to meet new campers with the same interest.

We camped this year at Pymatuning SP in Pa this year for the firsHalf the lake is in Pa and half is in OH.t time as a family.  I camped here several times as a kid.  It is the largest lake in PA (besides Erie). Jamestown Campground is largest SP campground in the state.    Lots of great fishing and plenty for the kids to do as well.  There are plenty of campsites along the lake and nice cove to with calm water tie your boat at.

My favorite seems to change every year as we always add a new one to our list of Alabama CGs.  But with that said don't know that we'll ever be able to top Gulf Shores State Park.  I've lived most all of my life and had never been until last summer.  Larry and I fell in love with the beaches and the campground.

We haven't found a favorite campground in our state (PA). In 1976, we discovered our favorite campground, in an adjacent state, and we tend to measure all campgrounds against it. Have not yet found any equal, let alone better.
