What type to get type or group 24 ,27 or 29  12 volt Battery  How long do they last on battery service alone ? or say using  the lights or heater etc. I not sure how much this equipment all draws.

IMO, a group 27 is the minimum although most campers if they come with a battery have a 24.  A 27 will allow you to boondock for a weekend minus the heater fan and in some cases you can do that especially with a solar panel of 60 watts or more.  If you intend to boondock in the cold winter then a group 31 would be the minimum.  If you intend to get serious about boondocking then two 6volt T-105s are what you would need.  Except for the 6 volts most folks get deep cycle marine batteries.  Here are two good info sources: http://www.marxrv.com/12volt/12volt.htm    http://www.solar-electric.com/.....y-faq.html

Welcome ALG!!!

In order to get the proper battery for your camper we need to know what type of camping do you plan on doing?  95% of my camping is done where I can plug in. In that case, I don't rely on my battery often.  I have a group 24 in my RV and that handles my needs for the 1 or 2 trips I go on when I can't plug in.  I am limited to the physical size of the battery due to its location so I can't get a bigger battery even if I wanted to.

I don't have a brake controller so I don't have any information on that.

What they said.

1st of all, your pup will probably come with a battery.  Try that & see how it does and how often you dry camp for how long.

2nd understand the difference between cranking, marine and deep cycle batteries before you buy anything.

There is a lot of people here who know more about batteries than I do.

I do know that a full charged marine battery should be able to run your lights and a 12v fan to move air for a weekend.  Obviously some changes like a better/bigger battery or LED bulbs with extend your options.

Your furnace fan will kick your battery quick, maybe one night but I doubt two.
