I've been camping for over 20 years and if there is one thing you should consider... it's a plug guard.  There isn't much worse than hooking up to the camper and your lights aren't working properly.  DW and kids in the car, impatiently waiting.  I've continued to have problems every 2 or 3 years with rust, spider webs, bugs and debris in my wiring plug.  I would have a bad ground, clean it with a pencil eraser or a small file with it never working right.  Problem solved, I install a plug guard (plug storage) at least 5 years ago and it has been like new while clean and out of the weather.  There are several companies making them.

I just bought another one for this camper.

I'm confused or over analyzing this completely. Does both your trailer and TV have a male plug and your cord have two female ends?

Thanks, I was right. I was completely over thinking it.
