Life's crazy with work, kids, school, the house and everything else.  So what have you forgotten to bring while camping?

We've forgotten the keys to the campers, locked outside at the campsite just looking in.  :banghead:

What didn't I forget at one time or another?  I forgot pillows several times and would fold sweatshirts in a ball to make a temp one.  I've since bought pillows for the camper and they stay there full time.

Coleman has used 2 different keys over the years, I made 10 copies of mine when I bought the camper.  I've given 8 away in campgrounds for people who have forgotten their keys.

left the key in the hitch pin/coupler lock while going down the highway.
got to the cg and could not unhook the camper because it vibrated out of the key slots.
fortunately we had just enough clearance to open the camper up and still camp.  got home and grinded off the pin lock

As a kid I left the jack in the driveway in New Jersey.  My dad wasn't amused when the PUP had a blowout in Arizona  🙂

A couple years ago drove 30 miles with a leatherman tool and sheath on my back truck bumper. The tool never moved but lost the leather sheath.

At the last fall rally had to pick up some pillows at a dollar general.

Towels, and we were camping at a lake, luckily there was a town nearby with a department store so after my lashings from DW all was good and we got some new towels for the camper. Now that I think about it if I ever want something camper specific I may just forget whatever it is again  😉

I forgot the dog leash one time.  We don't keep him on the leash at home and when we left he just jumped in.  Luckily we thought of it on the way and knew of a pet smart we could stop at.

On one trip, we had all the fixings for a sandwich but forgot the bread! We was about an hours drive from any store in the mountains on a small pig trail. After a few days, we had to make a store run!

Not camping, per se, but going to a cabin in Pigeon Forge with another couple for a weekend, we forgot the refrigerator food in the extra fridge at home. That was most of the food, but we shopped just before checking in.

Pillows.  Many times.  Non fridge food.  Husband has forgotten to pack jacket and sneakers(was wearing work shoes when got home and hitched up to pup which I'd already packed.)  Thankfully his workshoes are not dressy, so he wore thise and flip flops all weekend.

There is usually something minor that I forget each trip.  The funniest thing was when we forgot to pack jeans (we live in FL - cut us some slack... 🙂 ) and had to borrow some from our friends.  I am 5'-10" tall with a 36" inseam and my friend who was kind enough to lend me her jeans for the night is 5'6".  My husband's borrowed jeans fit him equally as bad.  At least we were somewhat warm in the 40 degree weather that night.
