Just bought a great new lantern and it may not be a big deal but I'm encited to use it.  What have you bought for camping?

I'm getting ready for a motorcycle / camping trip to the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America national rally in Bloomsburg, PA.  Gotta leave the PUP at home to go tent only for dry and unplugged camping at the rally.

I got a portable power system.  A 7 watt rugged solar cell with 12v or USB outlet, and a 3,600 mAh USB battery that will charge my android phone and run a LED computer keyboard light as a tent light.  Did a full test recently, including charging the battery with the solar cell in the back yard.

Also got a really nice looking 17" square spalted maple table to go with my Kermit chair.

BTW..  If you are not familiar with Kermit Chairs, you really should check them out.  They are camping chairs that are made of wood, aluminum, and denier nylon.  They are hand made in Tennessee, not China.  They pack very small (22" x 4" x 6") and are designed to last a lifetime... really!  http://www.kermitchair.com  (I am not affiliated with the company.  I'm just a customer.)

I am glad you mentioned the kermit chairs I was trying to remember the name of them the other day I think you posted in another forum last year about them and it stuck in my mind.  that will most likely be our purchase this year

Go ahead and spring for the leg extensions too, unless you like sitting close to the ground.  8)

The leg extensions are also great for road race tracks with hillside "seating".  Using extensions on just two legs will allow comfortable seating on a sloped surface.  I do this at the Barber Motorsports Park just outside of Birmingham, AL.

Got a Camp Chef Explorer to replace the old stock outside stove on the Pup . . . . got to use it for the first time a couple weekends ago and love it!  Some serious heat.  Also got the full sized griddle for it.
