We will be unable to attend. DH's FIL just got home from the hospital after 5 days in. The first day he ended it being intubated in ICU. We are going to stick around home to keep tabs on him. Otherwise, he is quite independent.
Enjoy the campfire for us. Maybe I can wrangle time away for April's rally. Have to work on that. Changed reservation for Pine Grove Furnace Nov 8-10. $10 to change ressie than $36 to cancel.

JCP Matrees Pad- Heated Link. Keep in mind, the twin is $40. The King is $72.
Not a bad idea at all if this becomes the norm then I may invest in them but I usually don't go out this early in the season if the kids enjoy the cold weather camping I will def look into them for now I have 2 1500 watt isolating heaters and several extension cords to tap right into the electric post at the sight, also got two cargo blankets to lay under the mattress between wood bunk and got pool noodles to go around area between mattress and canvass areas hopefully this will allow me to get the temp up to about 60 inside the camper

Thanks, Vik-king. With Joe buildng the fire, you may not have to leave your camper, just hold out a long stick! 😉 Snow will defintely make it interesting, to say the least!

They are calling for a chance of showers Saturday so we will setup canopies at the gathering site.
Okay folks, don't panic. All winter long the forecasters have predicted blizzard after blizzard and NONE of them have amounted to anything in this area. If you add up all the dustings we got this year, it just barely reaches 7 inches. Think about that. 7 inches. I'm sure we'll be fine for Saturday. It's just a "chance". It could be a chance of rain, a chance of a plague of locusts, a chance of a 50% off sale at Macy's. Besides, even if it does snow, we'll have plenty of food, drink and a big fire to keep us all warm! Let's celebrate the beginning of Spring!!! :chef:

Pete, you can also look at it as they are always wrong, so a dusting might be 7" itself. I can always pack the sleds I bought the kids last year, it has not snowed substantially from that day on. It was good insurance for around $15, cheaper than a snow blower.
I thought that logic might work a couple weeks ago when they predicted just a dusting. It didn't even rain in our area. They said Wilmingon, DE, which is where I work, would have rain changing to snow, etc.
However, I suppose I should point out that the Blizzard of '93 was in March, and this coming Wednesday is my birthday, which is the first day of spring. The year I was born, there was a huge snow storm the very next day. So who knows? Still, as long as we all have our milk, eggs and bread we'll be just fine. :chef:
Add us to the list of weather wimps.
Rain? Fine. Snow? OK. Sub-freezing temps? Not preferred, but we'd deal. 4+ hour drive (after DC traffic) to get there to have rain, snow, *and* sub-freezing temps for the majority of the duration of our trip? No thanks.
Besides, if they predict a dusting and they're wrong and nothing happens long enough, eventually the pendulum is going to swing the other way and we'd get a surprise foot of snow.
