We'll be bringing pineapples and watermelon and pulled pork for the luau.....
I am going to need to think about this. Is there a such thing as too much Pork? I was thinking one of my all day roasted fire ring hams, I'm undecided. We'll come up with a decision soon. I also looked into Poi since I didn't really know exactly what it was. I think maybe it should be called Poo, doesn't look very appetizing at all :-
I guess I really should have worded it different. I have never been father south on 220 Than State College. Was hoping for the same thing a little information on the route . Planning to leave Wednesday nite and drive as far as Bellefonte and spend the night. Go down in the am. Will probably go horseback riding in the early afternoon. Camp mid to late afternoon.
As long as they did not plant an orange barrel forest, nothing wrong with 220 South, well its 99/220 S. Its 4 lane from Bellefonte all the way to Bedford PA then back to 220 S to Cumberland MD (2 lane for around 30 miles or so)
Then you have a choice. Stay on 220 down through Keyser WV and across US 50/WV42. All 2 lane here and scenic, actually a few other ways to cut across to Davis / BWF.
Personally I would probably get on I 68 West at Cumberland and run the 4 lane over to Keysers Ridge exit 14B I think it is, then take 219 S through Deep Creek and Oakland MD to Davis. Probably better this way towing. Its 15 miles or so further but better road.
And we'll see ya down there the evening of the 25th Lou. Added a day.
Heading to Dolly Sods for backpacking with buddies tomorrow night. Then Driving home on Sunday and turning around and coming right back on Wednesday with the family to Blackwater. I'm debating on the best route to take as well. Some of those roads look shorter on the map but can be all twist and turns.

You are S hills correct? (looked on the member map thread)
Get to Uniontown, take RT 40 up over the summit past Nemacolin and Yough Lake into MD. When you get to Keysers Ridge cross I-68 and follow 219 through Deep Creek and Oakland to Thomas WV then a few miles on WV 32 to BWF / Davis.
You can shave off a few miles if you turn right to Marklysburg PA on 281 past Nemacolin but before Yough lake on 40, then SR 2013 / MD42 through Friendsville MD which will put you on 219 just N of Deep Creek. Thats the way I am going down.
I live about 5 miles off of 51 near Perryopolis, I figure it about an hour and 45 minutes from my house. Either way not a bad drive, mostly 2 lane roads. We'll be pulling out Wed afternoon, hopefully before 5 PM.

Well, we are coming in from Hagerstown MD. What is the easiest towing? Prefer wider roads. Still getting used to towing the Hybrid. It is a sure change from the pop up.
I guess its 6 in one 1/2 dozen in the other. Once you jump off I-48 its two lane but I do not think either one is a narrow road. Personally I would probably go the extra and run out I-48 to 219 but only because I am very familiar with 219 and have never been down 220 below Cumberland. CANTgetRIGHT travels 220 all the time, No avoiding the ups and downs.
We are still wrestling with the potluck......sorry
Now if anyone wanted to drive a few miles out of their way,(like 60 or 90 :D) you could stop by and pick up some of this to take down with you. Had some trees cut while I was in Florida last fall and went the cheap route, said I would clean it all up. What I did on my summer vacation. What a mess. Its willow but its ok for campfires. Your welcome to it. I could leave you the keys to the splitter? 😮
