I would camp at any campground in the area but I have done the hike twice. I'll do it again when Nathan is in the Boy Scouts. I want to see the other parts of the park.

My family has a cabin about 15 minutes from here, I grew up at Ricketts Glenn. These pics are from this summer.

We have often left a vehicle at the bottom of the falls and only hiked down them.
There 2 waterfalls and a swimming hole below the main trail, across route 118. (see pics)
Good's CG is not your typical place: no quite time, loud radios and they sell and support the use of fireworks all year. Bring ear plugs or you won't sleep until 5am
So it looks like 3 people are willing to camp at Ricketts Glenn without electric, 2 would like to have electric at the bottom of the hill. Right now it looks like it wouldn't be a full fledged rally, but maybe just a gathering of CanvasCamper people 🙂 Anyone have any suggestions of dates?

How about May 16-18th? Between mother's day and memorial day. April showers bring May [s]flowers[/s]...nice falls.

Looks like this may turn into more than a gathering of CanvasCamper friends....this could be a real Rally
Is everyone cool with dry camping in the State Park or should we look at private campgrounds in the area? Personally I am fine dry camping. I have a strong battery in my RV and I can use my son's powerwheels batteries to run my CPAP. There is no cell phone coverage in the area so you don't have to worry about charging your cell phone.

I think we need to go in the pet loop.
I just did a quick search for sites that can accomodate 20 foot trailers in the non pet loop and they are all interior sites that aren't near the water anyway. There are more 20 foot spots in the Pet loop and if you have a larger trailer (I am 26 feet bumper to bumper) there are even less choices at 30 feet.
When I was there the pet loop could still see the water and was a very short walk to what they call the beach trail along the water.
