We have a few small problems at Blue Rocks that added up and they didn't want to return our calls to talk about them. They must not need the business.
- We specifically booked a site next to the bathroom and told them that when booking and checking in. After setting up, the bathroom was closed and we were never told. I called them after our trip and asked for the manager or owner to call me, never happened.
- We had 3-4 sites that were pitched the wrong way and a muddy mess all weekend.
- We have no room to grow without separating into two different group around the campground.
- We had a site with an electrical issue and no one came and looked at it or fixed it.
- They are opened year round and I called them to make a reservation. (no dates or mentioning the group) They called me 4 1/2 weeks later and I had forgotten that I originally called them. They said they were just getting back to their messages.
April is not a busy time for camping in the area and we need a campground that can but accomodate us and interested in us coming there. The two campgrounds we are looking at are both within 4 miles of Blue Rocks and owned by the same company as Spring Gulch. They are offering us great prices, a block of sites, a gathering area and are even fighting over us coming.
Details are finalized and we are camping at Robin Hill Camping Resort. $70 for the weekend (E/W/S/C) - yes, only $35 per night, call and let them know you are with CanvasCampers.
We need a second person to help run this group rally, let me know if you are interested?
