There is one walk-in tent site available in Pickerel Point Campground, Site 159.  It won't last long.
We can either run an extension cord or I have a Honda generator for someone to use if they are here.

Hello all. I was just at pickerel point on Monday with the wife. We both had the day off and went up to do a little kayaking. Last time we were at promised land was about 20 yrs ago and that was before we got into camping and we stayed at a lodge. All i can say is wow, Pickerel point is awesome and I can't believe we haven't camped there yet. We had so much fun there and cant wait to go back with the pop up, unfortunately due to very busy schedules for the rest of the camping season all of our free weekends are spoken for. The weekend of the rally the wife and kids are booked but i'm free. I was able to book the last sight which was a walk up sight (159). So i'm going to make it a solo Motorcycle camping trip with my tent. I want to get a good amount of riding in while i'm there but I'll be sure to stop by and say hi. Since I'm coming in on a MC I do not have much room to bring anything extra but I'd be happy to chip in for fire wood and pot luck if that is not a problem. I tried to get in on last years rally but had to bail out due to busy sports schedules with the kids. I'm looking forward to spending a weekend at promised land and meeting everyone.

I'm definitely doing the zip line, I tried to get a group together last year but there just wasn't enough time. We added an extra day this year. 🙂
2 for zip lining, group rates would be awesome.

If your interested in a riding buddy I"ll have my Burgman 650. That is if you don't mind riding with a scooter!

Hi TM. That would be great. always fun to have a riding buddy. I think i'm going to bring my DR650. I have no destination in mind, just wanted to explore some of the mountain roads in Pike county. By the way, those Burgmans are sweet. I'm actually thinking about getting a little scooter to take with us when we go camping. I was looking at the little 49cc Honda ruckus. It would be great for getting around camp grounds and my wife would be able to ride it. See you there.

A 600 burgman is no sloch, it will keep up with anything on the road, i had a 400 before my 800 intruder,  and would do 80. all day long. Ride on and br safe my freind!

I invited my niece and nephew to go on this trip.  My sister said they are at sleep away camp coming home on that Friday.  My sister asked them if after camping all week long if they wanted to go camping with me.  My niece said she'd prefer to stay home.  My nephew on the other hand was all ready to hop off the camp bus and into my truck to go camping again  :camperkid:  My sister said she wants to keep him home friday and will probably bring him up on Saturday morning.  He is soooo bummed.

I'm not sure how I could bring the camper and motorcycle without this mod.

I really don't think my better half would be happy with me for installing a toy hauled deck.

Throw it in the back of the pickup. Mine won't fit in the Yukon.
