Tracy is hoping to join us as long as she can get to where her Aliner is stored. She has to drive on some state forest roads that aren't maintained in the winter, so it depends on the weather.

Hey all, techntrek here, admin on the R-pod forum.  Just made my reservation for the 16th and 17th, site C38.  Thanks to JoeCamper for the promo code (which they didn't even ask me for!).  I assume everyone else here has sites 39-43 since they were already booked.  Sorry I had to miss last year's get-together, I've been going every year since 2011.  Met Yak there I belive it was 3 years ago.  Pulled my R-pod 3 hours in a blizzard 2 years ago, that was an experience.  No pod for me this time, we recently bought a 26-foot new-to-us Salem and this will be its first winter trip ever.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Not sure who has those sites. I know I didn't book yet, so it isn't me. We met a very nice couple last year who drove up from VA on their maiden voyage with a new RPod. We were able to help them with some new owner issues & had a great time. Cold, with just a dusting of snow.

I'll work on a table at the start of the thread later today listing who is coming.....UNLESS JOE CAN INSERT IT AND I WILL MODIFY IT  😉 ......... I have a bunch of pallets I am going to cut up today for firewood.  I'll see how much I have.  I am going to book a site near the bathrooms, hopefully on the high number side.  They have lots of blacktop park on and a cement walkway around the fire ring so we aren't walking in mud.

Table is added to the second post.  We can list those interested without site numbers and then add them as they book.

I'm starting to gather some firewood for this trip.  My floor is pretty rotted so I had to line the bottom with pallets before I started putting cut up wood in it.  One of these days I'll get around to replacing it

I filled in the table on the first page with who is going.  WOW.  It looks like we have a decent size group going this year.  I don't know if I'll have my 5yo son with me, DW will make that decision based on how cold it is.  I will have my 9yo nephew with me.

Doug, Glad you could join us on the site and at the Rally.  Only one other person has booked so far in the camping cottage.  The sites that you see as booked are the ADA sites.  They show as booked until 2 weeks out then they release them to the general public.....unless you call and request that site.  I will book site 39, an ADA site when I call tomorrow.  Honestly I don't feel bad staying in an ADA site in the winter because not many people are camping much less people that require an ADA site with extra pavement.  I just don't want to be walking around in the mud by the fire and around my camper.

[move]Two weeks away!![/move]

I haven't gotten any more wood yet but with the holidays the warehouse where I get the pallets hasn't been too busy.  If anyone wants to contribute wood to the wood trailer, let me know and I'll pick it up.

Just home from our New Years camping trip. We will check the various woodpiles in the yard & gather up some wood for this trip. I'm not sure what's out there, split or not, but will certainly toss some in the truck.

Buy One, Get One free.  Call the res center with the discount number.

I will be making this trip. Chiefbowes will be driving down from Rochester NY and staying in my other bunk.

I was thinking about doing some geocaching on Saturday morning....anyone interested in joining me?

Depending on the weather depends on how adventurous I am.  I would like to take a good hike and hit some of ones that are off the beaten path.  I won't have Nathan with me so I can walk farther and longer than a 5yo 🙂  But if it is super cold there is a multicache near the campground that has elluded me.  I found 3 small pill bottles in the woods but not the final ammo box

I expect this snow will be gone by next weekend.....besides, I already found the micro's it was the ammo box that we didn't find.

Sounds good, Matt. We did a multi in the UP. Found the first stages, but not the last. It drove us crazy to have to leave without finding the final. Grrr...
