Ok, maybe a dumb question, but here goes, we recently bought a new hybrid ( '11 Surveyor 234T ) and didn't ask this question when doing the pdi. Is there an air filter for the furnace? We haven't been able to use the new camper yet because of midwest winter but today was not bad so I was doing a little investigating of the systems.
We have a ducted furnace in the camper but I could not find any type of air filter for the heating system. Is there one? If so, where might I find it?
I accessed the space, where the furnace unit is, but didn't see any type of removable panel where a filter might be. There is a return air vent, but no filter there. Perhaps I should just add a filter at the return air vent ?????
I never even thought of this on our pup furnace because it was used so little but I hope to extend our camping season in the HTT so I want to make sure all systems are well maintained.

I have never seen an air filter on a RV heating system. Possible someone does.
I would be leary of adding a filter since RV heating systems have a sail switch and anything that might slow down air flow could possibly not allow the system to run.

Ditto what storm trooper said. Not saying some of the big TTs might not, but I've never seen one with the usual Suburban or Atwood furnaces that had a filter.

Interesting topic....I never thought of it either.  There used to be only the air filter for your car, now there is an in cabin filter for your car's HVAC system.  Who knows, maybe a filter will make its way into RV HVAC systems one of these days.

It makes sense to think that there might be one.  It also makes sense that the sail switch is there and a filter would prevent the system from operating.
