well we bit the bullet today...
drove 2 hours to go look at it.

It is a 2000 Aero Cub C230 ( by Thor)
Seller wanted $4200, we did not pay that...lol

5 foot manual slide out
Full bunk end in Back, Queen in Front.
U shaped dinette collapses to queen
Jack knife Couch for twin
Full bathroom with shower
2 way fridge
13.5 Roof A/C
HW heater
gas/Electric Furnace
List goes on.

It is in really nice shape for 13 years old too!
Found a few items wrong with it, which we negotiated down in price with.

1 - The rear Bunk door outer laminate was "popped" out of its lower seam track ( above the hinge)

2 - we found an OLD water stain inside the rear curb lower closet. ( it was dry, and not softened)

3 - underneath the entrance seemed too flexible, so crawled under, there was a silver FOAM panel (which was exposed) and saw there was a 3/4"x2"wooden cross member that was cracked (looked like there was a KNOT or CHECK in the strapping?) they were not petite owners either.  he was 6-2 and easily 350lbs.

4 - the right brake light/signal did not work, as did neither of the roof line running lights all around.
( I am guessing bad ground somewhere?) bulbs were all good/tested

5 - The jack knife sofa was not bolted down to the slide-out box frame. ( i will have to add new cross pieces under the box, the old holes were just stripped in the 1/4" luan)

most are easy fixes.
The ROOF DOES NOT LEAK !  wooohooo... no soft spots, no water stains, no FLEX in the roof liner.
I was not able to climb up to look at it though like I wanted, he did not have a ladder.

He had the A/C and fridge running when we got there. was nice and cool, fan was powerful.
The Furnace fan kicked on with the thermostat switch on the wall. but he had no propane to test the heat/stove with.
It has a battery in the front storage, but not sure how it works with this system yet.

The only thing I am concerned about is the water/tank/drain systems.  we had no way to test any of these. i wont be able to see what they do or dont need for another week.

It is identical to this one here, except the interior colors are just a hair different

I will have more pictures as I go through it more.

It is not PERFECT, but for its age it is CLEAN and Towed Effortlessly with our L6 Trailblazer!

I NEED TO FIND THE MANUALS!  any help is appreciated...it has NONE... the previous owner lost them in their last move.
Thanks !

That's great, and welcome to the grey side. Re: stripped out screws, you can use wood glue and wooden toothpicks, broken off, to fill the enlarged hole and replace screws once glue has dried , just a trick of the woodworking trade , Best of luck with your new camper. I also love the "Nut Hut" name, our pop up was called " The Chuckle Hut". We haven't yet named our Hybrid but I'm hoping we can find something suitable eventually.
Happy camping

the luan base is too thin to remain a stable anchor base I think, but I have a plan for it ( I think)

Our newport PuP was the Nut  Hut, and since things have not changed other than the upgrade, we will remain the Nut Hut

Congratulations!  Glad to hear it all worked out for you.

Hopefully, we'll meet up at an rally some day and can take a look at your new acquisition.

Hi Nut Hut Owner (Sorry, I don't know your name  😉 ),

I think I have very good news.  I called the company and left a message saying I needed a manual for your camper.  They called me back and told me they don't have it online, but would mail me one free of charge.  Since I didn't have your info and wanted to jump on the opportunity, I had them mail it to me.  Once I get it I can either scan it and post it online, or send it to you via snail mail.

So, as long as I receive it, you'll get your manual 😉 Do me a favor though, just send me a private message on here so I have your info stored and won't have to go looking for this post?

Thanks, I did the same thing as well a few moments ago.  they claim to have the individual manuals online for each piece of equipment, and are mailing me a hard copy of the owners manual.

thank you for your effort !

it juSt came in today !
IT IS VERY GENERIC though...no true instructions on the camper itself, just basic GUIDELINES on what to do and not to do for towing and how to level.
it has a generic troubleshooting guide, but it is mostly common sense.

I was really looking for proper procedures on things like correct bunk closure, battery usage, water systems, etc...
the funniest item was the water hook up section.
"Hook up water to supply line, turn on faucets until water runs steady, check for leaks"
but there is not part on what to look for or do if their are leaks...lol
specific mechanical items like the a/c, Hw heater, fridge, furnace and such I have d/l the respective user manuals.

I didn't like my manual either.  I get more info from someone who had posted pics and explained things to try to sell it than I got from my manual.

I suggest going to a rally and asking questions.  It sounds like most campers are similar in nature, and other hybrid owners should be able to help you out.

LOL. I just looked at the manual I got for you, it sure is basic!!  At least yours says what is optional.  It took me and my dad a while to figure out my heater is gas only, and that I don't have an electric water pump.  The manual said I had one.
