I have been asked about my username across several different types of forums over the last 10 years.
So here is a topic for members to perhaps share their unique story behind theirs.
Sure.... I will start....... :guitar:
I own and ride a 2001 YZF600R motorcycle. when I joined the bike specific forum, I went simple and came up with this
01YZF6
over the years, and dozens of forums, I really took a shine to the username, and decided to use it everywhere. while my passwords are all different, the username is the same. I guess it keeps a continuity for me too...
so how about your Username? anything special behind it?
(mods, I searched to see if there was another thread like this, and could not find it. please move there if necessary)
Lone as in Lone Ranger. Lock as in Polock since I am Polish.
In High School I had a CB in my car. Lone Lock was my handle. I happened to be talking with DW right before I signed up about my old CB handle.....I decided to resurrect it.
Matt O 2006 Skyline Nomad 27' travel trailer. Previously owned 1986 Coleman Columbia / 1992 Coleman Senecca / 1989 Born Free Class C RV.
Mine actually does NOT reflect a love of frozen water phenomenon known as snow, but is actually a tribute to our families first furbaby.. Snowball was a husky collie mix, Just shortly before she developed health problems, we went high tech with dial-up internet service.. So it was natural that when I joined my first ever JeeP forum I used "snow" ... Also the Jeep was white, so it all fit.. white JeeP, Husky dog (named Snowball)= snow.. Once she was gone, I was already a member of 3 or 4 sites, so I decided to keep the name in her honour ...
On another group I was on I use NW Mom. It is a board for parents of extreme special needs kids. I joined there during a really rough time and my name choice was not as positive as I would have liked.
It contained a reference to not being like the Ingalls, Waltons, or Cosby families of tv fame.
As things got better I changed it to match my area to help others find help easier. I was from the NW region so I changed my name to match.
Since it also describes our location, I use it all over now. I am also on some Disney boards as that is my other hobby.
