My new to me TT....2006 Skyline Nomad has a soft spot in the bathroom floor.  I have had it for a year and it is time to tackle this repair.  Hopefully it won't turn into a huge PIA.  We'll see.

Here is a before pic of the bathroom.

And my first look at the floor.  I was able to just pull up the main soft spot in the floor with my hands and create a hole.  The floor joist there seems to be solid.  I need to finish cutting the floor out....I needed to know how thick the plywood was to set my blade depth first.  I'll update as I go on.

I decided it would be best to remove the tub.  It was easy.  A bunch of screws around the top lip that was sealed with butyl tape and caulk exposed the screws that actually held the tub to the wall.  An access panel allowed me to unhook the drain and out it came.

A look before I cut out the bad wood

The wood cut out.

I have a 6yo....his aim is a little off.

Nothing majorly new to report.  I put a dehumidifier in to dry everything out before I seal it all up.

Last night I decided to poke a small hole in the wall behind the tube where it wouldn't be noticeable to see what the insulation and wood looked like.  You see what that hole became  :banghead:  The insulation at the bottom was wet.  Then I kept moving up the wall and found the taillight....that must be the culprit, nope.  I kept moving up the wall and now I believe the roof is leaking.  I'll be working on that in the near future after I put the bathroom back together.  This morning everything is dry.  I have a friend stopping by later today to help me put the floor back in.

Oh....and they used some really crappy wood to put the trailer together.  They are 1x1's and they are very rounded....low quality.  I guess being behind a wall it doesn't matter but I was surprised.

I'm starting to put some stuff back together.  You can't really see in this photo but I used some deck spindles...1x1 to sister the existing joist on the street side and where the new plywood meets the old plywood.  I then put some insulation down and then the plywood

While everything was exposed I decided to see exactly what was leaking.  I ran the garden hose on the roof for 10 minutes and saw nothing.  I then sprayed the hose on the back side of the trailer and the culprit showed itself.....The rear marker lights were leaking.  If you look closely you can see the stain on the wood spreading out from the light and the water on the metal is only below the marker light.  There is a slight water stain on the other marker light area.  I'll be sealing everything on the back end of the trailer this weekend.  All the marker lights, all the tail lights, any seams, etc.

I didn't have a chance to work on my bathroom until Sunday afternoon.  I insulated and put the walls up, sanded the floor so the patch is semi level and moved the medicine cabinet into the bathroom.  My eventual goal is to remove the bathroom sink and put more storage above it.  I never understood why a 27 foot trailer has a bathroom sink 5 feet away from the kitchen sink.  Brush your teeth and wash your hands in the kitchen.

I was thinking about making a little doorway where the Snapple bottle is to store the toilet chemicals and maybe a roll of TP.

Nothing major last night.  I installed the toilet over the plywood....I'll remove it and put the peel and stick tiles down at a later date.  Cleaned up some of the tools and debris in the camper so I can camp this weekend.  Hopefully....Hopefully I can get the FRP boards for the shower up tonight or tomorrow.  Thursday will be all about getting ready to camp.
