A parking spot for my PUP?

How do I make a winter-worthy parking spot for my camper?  I know the wheels are supposed to be off the dirt in the winter, but I'm also looking for a year round solution. I'd like it last about 5 years, and I'll revisit my solution after that.

I tried to map out the spot in the woods I want to keep the camper, you can see the sticks if you look closely.

Of course, the brush and stones will be cleared out.  The biggest issue is that the ground is soft, my parents (their property) had the tree guys spread out the wood chips on the ground in an attempt to make up for erosion.  The wood chips were supposed to be gone after a year, but that turned out not to be correct.  It's soft like a playground.

I figure I probably need to do something with rocks like you do with a walkway.  Dig down a few inches, and put rocks (and sand?) in....

Can anyone tell me more specifically what I need to do to make the spot last about 5 years or so?  Do I need to have wood/plastic edging to hold it all in place?  do I need to tamp it down?  How do I go about figuring how much I need?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I would worry about branches falling on the PUP. You would want a hard dry clear spot to park, from the photo it looks like the exact opposite. If that was the only choice I had, I would build a platform on top off some oak pallets. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I know that under trees is not ideal, but it's the only option...

I would go to Home depot and pick up some 18" by 18" square patio blocks.  At least 3.  1 for each wheel and one for the tongue jack.  If you have a couple of bucks then put enough patio blocks down that it is under the entire camper.  Personally I wouldn't worry too much about gravel and compacting it down.  Next year whatever blocks are low pick them up and put some more dirt under those so they come up.

I use 2 18" x 18" blocks for each wheel and one for the tongue jack.  This way, I don't have to back my big ole pup up perfectly.  It also is under a carport for shade and to keep any debris off.
