It always nice to share Thanksgiving stories and time.  What are your plans?

Our extended family will be traveling all over for Thanksgiving so we had our big meal yesterday.  Kate's brother prepped the bird and most of the side dishes but everyone brought something.  It was our Thanksgiving, Cora's birthday, and our 10th anniversary dinner. Good thing today is a lazy day!

We are heading out to Washington (state).  We''ve got a terrible flight (9 hours), awful seats and just a short visit. BUT to see daughter and 2 precious grandchildren it makes it all bearable!  I'm so excited!

Our three children and two spouses (one is divorced), their children, my brother who lives in GA, and a couple of family friends will be hosted at our older daughter's home. We're all bringing side dishes and pies (and DH his homemade wines) and having a roasted turkey (with stuffing) and a deep fried turkey provided by the hosts. After the meal and dessert, we usually play games that all ages can enjoy except this time there will be three infants who will provide some entertainment as well.  🙂

May all of you have a blessed Thanksgiving Day with safe travel and have fun if you're out there for Black Friday!

First Thanksgiving with my sisters and brother in over 30 years. Everyone will be at my house. All nieces and nephews, about 17 in all.

My parents have passed (Mom last December) so this will be the first Thanksgiving without my parents.  Kind of weird.  I knew that after my Dad had passed, it was inevitable at some point, but this year it holds true.  They will both always be here in our hearts.

My In-laws are coming up from Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesday (I think, maybe Tuesday, lol).
Wifes sister and her husband are flying in from Denver this week and will be staying with us for a few days for Thanksgiving as well.  They are also going to his family for a few days.

We will have a good time with the In-laws.  I am lucky that I like them here. We get along great.

Have a good Thanksgiving everyone.

Well our Son will be having dinner/watching football with his GFs parents.  Both of us have no living parents or grand parents, so we will do what we have done for the past 5 or 6 years.  We will watch the parade on TV then go to Branson, Mo.  Shop and goof off till time for Dixie Stampede. Then Fri & Sat it is off to Silver Dollar City.

Real excited this year. Not only has this year been kinda rotton and we really need a way to forget life for a weekend. It is also the first trip we will take in the brand new car.  (Yea I know--we will not be taking the PUP this time of year) This trip takes about 3 hours and this car is "promised" to get 43+ MPG so we will see.

It looks like I will be getting up about 7 that morning to deep fry 5 Turkeys. I usually do 8-10 birds that special day, but this year, others have different plans. Then around 1 PM, the family will be coming over for a get together. After eating, we'll sit around and chat, watch some tv. Some will leave, the rest of us will probably take a good afternoon nap! When I say I usually do 8-10 birds, I usually cook that many birds for friends and former co-workers.

Our two grown kids and their families were gonna come to our house this year but plans have changed and we are all going to my mother's which is an hour away, closer to our children's homes. My mother is getting more feeble each year. She is only in here mid 70s but she had a back injury and cannot get around well. Bless her heart, after she saw our ntu camper she said she wants one like ours...don't know what she is thinking...she couldn't even get into it. Her heart is willing but her body just cannot do it.
I am so happy that our plans have changed and we can go to her house once again. It will be a special Thanksgiving this year.
