Is there any woodworking hobbyist out there who can share their work?  I'm interested in getting started in building a small table and other things but it's all very new.

I am not a woodworker, but my FIL is.  He helped me build an awesome train table for my son.  I will have to remember which website I use to get photos on here (I used to use webshots) and I will post a pic of it.

He has also done whirly-gigs, Piano Bench, Toy Train, Potty Seat, and many other things.

I do some woodworking, although I'm just getting back into it after a number of years off.  I've done a good amount of regular woodworking, home improvement and minor construction, though.

I recently combined my love of computers and woodworking, and mixed in what I remember of a drafting class I took in high school and my experience working at a printing company quite a while back, so I now have a small hobby CNC machine similar to this:

My current project is making a few camping related signs, but don't have anything I can show at present.  I should have something after this weekend, though.

Did you have any particular questions?

I've camped a LOT at Tuckahoe State Park, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Back in the 80s, they had some long-term campers (two weeks in one site, pack up and move to another site for two weeks, etc. Things were a bit looser, then.) who actually built a rowboat at their campsite. Talk about woodworking........

That's really nice of your dad, Pinn. He does nice work and you must be really proud of him and vice versa!

I took woodworking at a local community college a couple years back its a good way to get into it.  I have made a few things.  Here on the military post where I live there is a wood working shop and that is key if you dont have a lot of money to invest into the equipment.
