De-Winterizing

We had taken our new camper to a dealer to winterize last year.  When hubby picked it up the mechanic went through with him what to do when we de-winterize.  Now after 6 months he can't remember.  We have a 2010 Palomino Stampede. The leverl on the blue dial is in the up position. The rod was already removed from the water tank so I assume we need to put that back. But there is a black cap with a little white piece inside sitting there as well and I can't see where that goes.  On the inside the two valves to the hot and cold are off and I would assume we have to turn them to the on position. The one to that goes between them is open.  We have drained all the tanks already we just aren't sure what to do with the water heater.  Any help please.

I have a 2011 Palomino Stampede, and I'm not sure which blue dial you're talking about. Are you talking about the back of the water heater?  Based on some of the other things you mentioned, I'm thinking you are.

Assuming I'm correct, you're referring to the water heater bypass on the back of the water heater, and the anode rod that goes in the hole on the outside.

This site has a good pictorial step-by-step on how to dewinterize.

He has a pop-up, but you'd be amazed at how many of the components are identical.

Depending on the options and packages that came with your Stampede, you might also have a water filter in the system. Just make sure the filter cartridge has been removed from the filter chamber.

If none of this helps, you might want to post some pictures so we can see what you're talking about.

Edit:  After rereading your post, I think the black cap might be the drain for your fresh water tank. Look underneath, and there should be a blue tube hanging lower than your fresh water tank. The cap should screw on the end of that. The hot and cold valves I think you're referring to are the water heater bypass. They're probably set so no water will enter the water heater. After you flush the antifreeze from the system, you'll want to switch those so water will enter the water heater so you can sanitize it along with the rest of the system.  I'm still not sure about the blue dial.

I'm a Stampede owner, too. I'm trying to picture the lever on the blue dial. Is it in the outside water heater compartment? If so, there's a pressure relief valve that kind of resembles a lever & that needs to be flipped up against the camper or you will be leaking water if it's open.
As for the black plug, is that also in the outside compartment? It might be the plug you need to remove to insert the anode rod?
