We have an outside shower on the back of the camper which we rarely ever use so I'd like to make a wash station now that we are using reusable dishes and silverware.

I only have the room that is in the camper so it can't be ridiculously large or heavy.
I'm looking for something like...
- rails to attach the back of a countertop to the camper.
- a countertop hopefully made of a weather resistant material.
- two adjustable front legs to support the water and dishes weight while being able to set it up level.
- light weight or even collapsible wash basin or sink.
- a bracket to hold the outside shower head.

I'm not sure where I can buy most of this stuff either.  If you have an ideas or suggestions, let me know?

If you want it simple...

1 folding 4 ft table (The new type fold in 1/2 so its only 24" high and you can store it in the aisle.
Get 2 grey "bus" boxes from the commericial cooking aisle of either Sam's or BJ's.
Use the Shower head to fill the first bus box with hot water and soap, and fill the 2nd box with cold rinse water.

Done.

Man, I like that idea.  🙂 At least using the plastic table and bus boxes.  Wonder if I could cut out the table top to set the bus boxes in?  It would be cool to find a way to make the leg adjustable so that the table would be level?

I know that works as that is how we have done it for the past 2 years. By putting the table and bus boxes along the back, the cleanup crew doesn't get in the way of the chef and cooking area. Though I didn't have hot water in the SeaPine, I did have a spickot on the back side to fill up the  boxes with, then just added a pot of boiling water to the first box.

That's what we do also.  Works great.

Joe, for you legs, consider the extendable painting poles from Home Depot.  They adjust with twist lock, and you can buy rubber tips to put at each end.  That is what I used for the table I attach to the side of my camper and it works out great as I can adjust each leg to what ever hieght is needed.

I have done that before (using painters poles) as table legs for the adjustability, but what we found is if you put any type of heavy weight (like a box with dish water), the weight causes them to slip down.

What I need is to find poles that have the button stops, instead of twist lock.

I have a 4' lifetime plastic table that folds in half and I can pickup two more busboy bins at my local Sams Club.  I plan to remove the existing legs and cut holes in the the table top for the bins to sit in.  This way they won't slide around or fall off the table.

Where can I buy rail to attach it to the side of the camper?  Any idea?

I think I'll need to measure the height and location on the back of the camper and then decide how to handle the legs.  It will need to be installed under or next to the outside faucet so we can turn in on and off.  There is also a lot of stuff in that area (water hose connection, refrigerator, interior sink drain, etc) Maybe I can use the paint poles and drill whole every inch for different heights and lock in place with a pin?

It should go to the left of the furnace vent but I'm not sure the hose is long enough.  It may need to go over top of the furnace vent, just to the left of the shower faucet access.

It was about 21 degree out last night and I got a camping itch so I worked on the wash station.
There is no countertop area left if I add two bus boxes so I'm going to start with one and try it in the spring.  I'm going to order two rails (thanks Jello) and use the existing legs for now until I try it out.  I need to take care of the faucet holder and maybe a drain next.

I suggest using the table as it is, then after you place it in a couple different spots to see what works best, then mount it to a rail...
I would not mount it in front of any of those access points or the furnace vent.

I like the idea of the holes in the table top.  I have washed dishes at the outside shower for years using a small table and 2 dish pans.  I always turn the dish pans over when I am done so nothing falls into the pans before the next meal. 🙂

Twisty,
I agree and I'm going to use the table 'as is' for a little while and try things out.
There are a few other options available on the same website as the track Guitarman posted including adjustable legs.

The sinks were closed outside the bathhouse so the wash station was a big hit this past weekend.

Looks like you had a good audience while doing the dishes. Did you change the shower head to one of those dishwashing types or just leave the OEM one on it. My gripe with the OEM is that it really does not shutoff all the way so I have to turn the faucets off to prevent the pump from cycling.  You might be able to put hinged shelves on each side that would fold over the holes in the top of the table for storage and then flip over to provide more countertop when washing. I'm going to try to make a wash station using an old walker and some wire shelving so it can act as a dishrack and countertop in one. Very nice job on the setup.

Thats a great idea doing the dishes around back since I got a shower back there, too.  I never gave that a thought.

I changed out the OEM with a dishwasher sprayer for $9.  The old one doesn't turn off right so the pump run for 3 seconds every 15 min, there wasn't an easy way to mount it and it extended the water line 6 more feet.  I use the existing water line from the faucet to the table and the new one at the table while cleaning.

The picture is guitarman, he and few others used the wash station since the bathhouses were closed.

We rarely ever used the outside shower for anything so not carrying dish or taking them home dirty should help.  We also bought plastic plates, bowls and silverware last year so less trash... more washing.
