I saw this Dometic Cabana Awning (screen room) on camping world's website. Seemed a little expense but a great look.

He has it attached to a pickup truck slide-in camper! As long as you have a C-rail or want to add one - it will work.
It DOES replace your awning. And this one (at least from him) doesn't store on the side of the camper for travel. You must pack it up into a travel bag. The BAG only weight 23 lbs (mind you that is with box too).
It is MUCH lighter and smaller than a normal Bag-Awning and AAR (Note: the AAR is heavy and bulky - which has to go in the camper anyway)!
Will have to try it out and post here....ONCE i get it that is...
tent stakes thru loops at ground or the sides are rolled up. 2 guy lines in front, I had the Cabana up when Sandy started, we hit gusts of 35+, It held up real well, never collapsed or blew up or over. When the rains started along with the wind I dropped it and tied it to the tongue and bumper.

Not sure how long they will last without deteriorating? My tent lasted for 18 years but my Brothers Pup awning looked brand new on his 78, so time will tell. 8)
Hmmm. So if I have an awning on my Starcraft this would just slide into the same rail that my awning is currently in? Definitely would like to have something that I can put up myself. I can put my awning up, but when it comes time to pack up rolling it by myself is almost impossible!!!! When I camp by myself I have to ask a neighbor to help roll it up. Of course I can always find a kind neighbor, but would like to be able to doit myself just in case there isn't anyone around.
Yes, it is the real Dometic Cabana Awning, I bought it from Bannerbreeze on ebay. It does fit into the awning rail but get a bigger size so the ends touch the ground or you have to add material. I love mine. Quite a few members on another forum purchased from Bannerbreeze too, They are all pleased so far.
Mine came yesterday , surprised the screening is as heavy as it is , I wont set it up till spring , snow in the air here in central Pa. The directions are easy and straight forward it seems , over all pleased with the purchase so far but will pass final judgment on it when I set it up. The way I looked at with the price on ebay even if it lasted me maybe 3 seasons nothing to loose really !! 8)
