I have a crack in the molded plastic body of my popup up near the front storage bin.  Photo Attached!  I'd like to fix this problem and a few others over the winter months.  Anyone know what product to use?  This piece is a little flexible, will it crack again?

Joe,  Thats ABS right?

When I had the 88 Coleman I had repaired a similar crack on rear ABS body panel.  I ended up removing it and repairing it with a fiberglass resin from the back.  I have also heard of folks using a MEK compound and having good results.

Dave,
I know that the roof is a one piece ABS roof but I'm not sure if the body is ABS or plastic?  I'm not sure what is the difference?
How hard was it to take the body apart?

If it is ABS, we in Apache-land are very familiar with the cure.
MEK and what we call 'Goo', MEK and ABS pellets mixed together and injected in the crack will do the trick.
Make sure to clean the affected area thoroughly.  Brush the MEK along the edges of the area.  Using a syringe filled with Goo, squirt it in and feather it along the MEK softened area.

I have the storage cover removed and bought MEK this evening.  Now for some ABS pellets and I should be ready to go.

An emergency source of ABS is computer keyboard shells and keys.  I've got a goo solution of cream colored keys and MEK/PVC glue.  It's getting harder and harder to find true MEK due to the meth labs.
