We pick up our Flagstaff 207 next week with A/C added, but after tax, tags and financing, it will end up costing us $9940.00.

Best Regards,

My starter popup was a 1984 Coleman Columbia I bought in 2008.  I paid $600 for it, $200 in repairs and I sold it last year for $850.  I made $50

My current popup is a 1992 Coleman Seneca that I got last year.  I paid $1,500 for it at a dealer.  This popup has only cost me time and labor, no real $$$ for repairs.

Welcome Dean.
The price you pay is weighted on many facts.  The ultimate question to ask yourself is if you're happy with you unit.  If you are, stop worrying and enjoy.

lol well happy so far....  This year will be the test...  But I'm happy with it...  Other wise I wouldn't have bought it. 🙂  It's a major upgrade from our old 1986 pup!!!! 🙂

My first was a 97 Bayport in immaculate condition for $2500. Traded it in on a 2009 Avalon with screenroom and all the options, WDH, brake controller, etc. installed for $17,000. That was less than the average comparable used units at the time. We are very happy with our pup.

My first post as well,  traded a 1976 Kubota L175 tractor in good shape for a 2000 Coleman Mesa off of CL.  ABS roof was in perfect condition (knock on wood) but had to rebuild the front box (water damage) due to lack of caulk maintenance.

Paid 50 bucks for my '84 Coleman Columbia! All that really needed to be repaired was the canvas to be camp ready. But who stops there?!!

Still after a brand new canvas, A/C, new floor, new outside paint...I'm in it less than 1000 and now it has everything.

I bought my 1993 Coleman Destiny Roanoke w/ A/C for $500, mint condition, ready to camp. Wow, double digit thousands for a pop up in a bad economy. If I had some of yall's money I'd give mine away.  ;D

While cleaning out my Saved Mail for the new year I just found the CL listing for our PUP.  We paid $1,400 for our '95 Dutchmen 1204 in the summer of '10.  Probably a little much for all the work we're still doing on it, but it is exactly what we were looking for and they threw in an electric heater, a tabletop charcoal grille and a boombox that were already in the unit.  We've also got a 12' box, cassette toilet/shower, fridge, a/c and queen/king sliders, and the canvas and interior are in great condition.  We figure that it will pay for itself in the savings on campground cabins and hotel rooms in about 2 years.

Picked up a 1987 Starcraft Starstream which was real rough for $100. Replaced the complete floor, and repaired where there had been leakage around the ceiling vent, replaced the countertops with 3/8" plywood (painted and polyurethaned), patched a few holes in the canvas, and generally spruced it up. Love it. Sleeps like a charm. Have a total of under $500 in it with title and license, which in Illinois cost me $118. I learned a lot, and take a lot of pride in what I did.  :cowboy:
