Almost two weeks ago we bought a 1995 Starcraft/Starflyer 1021 for $1500.00 fully loaded with everything: pots, pans, electric fryer, programable coffee maker, ceramic heater, sheets, blankets, pillows, dishes, cups, silverware, playing cards, note pads and pens, first aid kit, cords. It is in good shape. Evidence of a water leak from the first owner (we are the third owner) which was fixed. Canvas and windows in good shape. It only had a small tear on the bed upholstery (which I have already patched).
We thought at first she "took us" because the door wouldn't close all the way and she said it was because the camper wasn't balanced. When we got it home and balanced it the door still wouldn't close. We discovered the top wasn't going all the way up. A new winch is $435...ouch!!! But praise the Lord my husband is a wonderful fix-it man and he was able to make it work without getting a new winch. So I would say we got a good deal.

I remember when I was a kid my father had a old apache pop up . He always had a pop rivet gun stored in the camper to repair the braces when the rivets let go on the support braces . it pays to learn to repair these pup's , and most repairs are easy but a pain some times too ........

My first post as well.  Just picked up my first N2U PU a 99 Starcraft Starmaster Field & Stream Edition that was in pristine condition. We are the 3rd owners but it had always been garage stored and perfect canvase and interior, newer tires, and it came with a add a room for the awning.  found it on CL was the first caller, he wanted $3,500 but took $3,100.  We liked the floor plan and the DW liked the cassette tolite/ shower.  Can't wait to get it out.

Two years ago we got our 1999 Jayco for $1,950 w/ salvaged title. Valances and drapery were never put up, still in original packaging. Minor dimpling to the roof from hail that insurance totaled it for. Have to make one minor repair to the roof. Nothing that good caulking can't fix.

Big Baron,

All I know from the title is that is was in the MN Twin City Metro, the salvage dealer said that it came from the original owner who used it very little. When we looked at it at the salvage dealer, it was pretty much new inside. Whoever had it probably had it parked and turned it in for insurance. I am aware of the storm in the Metro that did the damage.

All I care about is that I got what I wanted. DH came home from work earlier that week and said that everyone else on the project was going away for the weekend. He asked if I wanted to go camping on the South Shore of Lake Superior and we should buy a camper. Two days later I found ours on Craigslist, it was the second one that we had looked at. I had been planting the idea in him for a couple of years. He finally came around to it.

Wow. I just can't believe how many people get trailers on the cheap in the states.
My 2007 Starcraft (8' box) will sell in spring for almost what we paid for our 2012 Coachmen 126!

A year ago, we found a 2005 Fleetwood Victory (7 y/o at the time) on CL.  It is in immaculate condition inside and has always been garage stored.  It has cassette toilet, shower, stove, sink, queen and double bunks, exterior storage bin, gas tank, outside grill, awning, and boo-COOs of stuff inside (7-8 virtually new pots and pans, all the utensils, 8 x 12' matt, 20' 30 amp extension cord ($$$) gizmos, white hoze, 15 gal graywater tank, and a box FULL of misc hose connectors, water filter, pressure regulator, etc) all for $5500.

With tag, FL state sales tax and registration...$602.12 total for our '93 Coleman Destiny Royale and very little to do...it needs a/c, awning and a table.

Y'know...it's none of your -- or anyone else's -- d****d business. And. it's none of my business what YOU paid.

Sorry, but I perceive this question as extremely cheeky.

We bought our pup (in 2006) for $13000 used, it was a 2004 Palomino Mustang... after 5 years of camping in that we traded it in on a 2005 Outback 21RS..  got $4500 in trade and paid an extra $8000 for the Outback..  Two years into treller number two and we are enjoy it even more... with the newer truck (2012 Ram) we know someday we will change trellers again, not sure if we'll go to a 5'er or stay with a bumper pull, not sure if we'll get another "family" type treller or get a "couples" treller, which ever way we go it will be bought used as well....
