I've recently noticed at the rear of some HTT and TT a caster or roller mounted to the rear of thr frame so as to prevent "dragging" the frame if the pivot point between the tv and the trailer raises. What are these called and I think it could be a worth wile investment, knowing my goat path of a driveway.

I have them on my small travel trailer. The dealer explained that is for when you backup and the bumper is higher than the obstacle (like a parking stop block), that you hit it and hear the sound before damaging the low hanging plumbing under the trailer.

Phil,
Is there a name for them, I've been searching websites and I'm coming up empty because I don't know what to call them.

I think Skid Wheels are what you're referring to.

I had them on my 26' TT and they really helped with the bottoming out, and preventing damage to the underside plumbing and holding tanks.

For our current camper (12') we don't seem to need them, but I usually keep an eye on how the camper-truck is "bending" when we are making an elevation transition - this is where I used to have the problem.
