Egg Beaters egg substitute

I've tried the Egg Beaters egg substitutes (along with some of the other brands). The convenience of not worrying about broken eggs is just fine.

My problem is that, no matter how hard I try, when using the Egg Beaters I cannot make the eggs my favorite way: I'm having one heck of a time making them sunny side up.

Any suggestions?

Maybe you should have put this in the jokes section? Or the yokes on you...because there are no yokes!  😀

Thanks for playing!

Just thought I'd open it up for fun. I was hoping to get some creative suggestions.........

And, I'm surprised that Moderator Steve didn't jump on it.

I've used Egg Beaters at home (though not in quite a while), but I don't take them camping. I prefer real eggs (that I can cook sunny side up!)

What's not real about egg beaters?

They work great in the DO Mountain Man Breakfast
The unflavored version if freezing them for transit.

If ya want yolks, you wouldn't use No Yolk noodles or egg beaters.  😉

If getting to camp and having broken eggs is the problem, there is a solution.  While I have done this in a very long time, you can crack the eggs into a lidded jar and transport them that way.  Then just pour out what you need.  Or, if you have baby food jars, only put 2/3 eggs per jar.

Honestly, who has gotten to camp and found broken eggs?  If so, how often does this happen and how are you transporting them?  Personally, I have never had a problem with an egg cracking.  I don't even bother handling them with kid gloves when I transport them home from the store.

Lordy, lordy.... Even after I've exposed the hoax, there are some who persist in believing...

Okay. I own a duodecimal egg transporter for camping, and I've never had a broken egg. I also own a hexovular egg transporter.

That is not what this is about.

This was about cooking eggs sunny-side-up with a product clearly not intended for it. (HINT: It was a joke.)

Please, step back, reread -- all the replies, and take a deep breath.

I thought I exposed the hoax? (or at least...suggested it was one!)  ::)

I just made a note never to camp downhill from you  :taunt:
