I was searching for a new grill for the upcoming camping season and stubled upon the Vulcano Grill.

This thing looks pretty interesting in that you have the flexibility to use 3 types of fuel (wood, charcoal or propane). I did find a review on the item, anyone in the group see or use one of these?

Not my type of grill.  Good luck with it if you choose it.

The Volcano looks interesting. There promo is informative and, of course, emphasizes the positives:

Compact
Lightweight
Quick set-up and take-down
Three fuel sources
Energy efficient

The cook top looks to be marginally bigger than a 12" skillet. That gives it a maximum of about 132 Square inches of cooking surface. If you are cooking only for one or two people, it is sufficient. If you are cooking for a family, good luck.

If you only cook relatively simple meals (burgers, dogs, steaks, chops, ribs), it might be a good deal. If you also want a heated side dish (beaked beans, etc.), the entree will have to come off the grill and be kept warm while you cook the side. Or, vice versa.

It seems a bit expensive; the base version is wood/charcoal, and to include the propane options it's $160.00.

The only person who can truly answer whether it's right for you is YOU. Examine your needs carefully.

I bought one 3 years ago at Costco.
I mostly use it when there are campfire restrictions.

I just ordered one. We decided to give it a try. What we liked most was the 3-fuel capability. The main reason this intrigued us was how may times in the past 18 months we were without power. It would be nice to have an alternate method of cooking that didn't use our propane (heat and generator). This stove seems to provide that. Figure we can use it camping with any of the fuel types or in the case of an extended power outage with the wood or charcoal.

Looks interesting. Also looks like the special offer ended February 1st.
