I Just found out this past weekend when my FIL was visiting that his wife is planning a surprise 60th B-day for him.  In March.  My heart sank.  Another trip I was going to have to cancel  :'(  I still have no internet at home so I couldn't check the dates of the Season Opener.  I just checked the dates....The camping trip is March 16-18.  The party is the following weekend.    :jig: I don't have to cancel!!

DW was talking sleeping arrangments with her sister and I over heard DW tell my SIL that many people might be staying at Aunt Bonnies house so "We may just stay in the camper"

We are expecting to have over 50 people again this year, there are only a few electric sites left.

50 days!  I'm checking the weather next week.  If we have a string of clear days, I'm opening up The Toybox, airing it out, working on the plumbing and starting to get the 12V system roughed in so all I'll have to do later is connect it all.  I'm beginning to go stir crazy.  I tried to convince Eilean to go to Williamsburg for dinner last night.

I'm excited as well.  My pup has been at my BIL's house for a month while I moved.  Tomorrow I am bringing it to its new home.  I want to open it up as well and inspect everything so there are no surprises in 49 days 🙂  Time to start making preparations (It's what gets me through the winter)

We are going to have to cancel this trip.
If anyone wants our site, PM me and I will try and coordinate with you when we cancel.

I'm making a beef stew for the potluck dinner.  This trip can't come soon enough.

We will have a campfire Friday evening for a 'Meet and Greet', stop by after you set up.
Play a mixed trivia game around 5pm on Saturday, the usual dinner time of 6pm, followed by a group campfire.

If everyone is interested, I can order a truck load of firewood for the gathering site and if anyone wants a few arm fulls for their campsite?  Splitting it would be about $7 per site.  Let me know if most are interested and I will line it up?

We are in for wood...... even if we don't use it directly at our site, whatever site we decide to share should have a glowing ring.

I will kick in.  I will be with my 6yo nephew and I don't want to spend my time gathering wood.

Joe, do we have a dedicated meeting site.

If not, we have some options. As usual we can use our site and the canopy, if we want a dedciated site, the 2 sites given up (dave s, storm tropper ,etc), I would be glad to chip in for it.

Hey Peeps,

For the Saturday night dinner, instead of us bringing a covered dish to the dinner, we will provide an hors d'oveures to munch on at the 5PM Trivia game/cocktail hour.  I'm not sure what that will be yet, but I have some great ideas!

I am voting for "hot wings" and "rockin reuben's" (everything is better on a stick)

I'm moving to site 09 and we can use Site 15 as the Gathering Site.  'Meet and Greet' campfire Friday, 'Trivia and Dinner' Saturday.  Not sure who is in site 10?

😀      :tease:
Woo! I just booked site C-35, for my first ever Group Rally, and my first ever night in a camper. Not sure who I'll be bringing with me, it will either be 2 or 3 adults total.

Since I've never been to one of these before, and never spent time in a camper, I need some help with this whole pot luck dinner thing.  Help?! Ideas? Suggestions?  Oh, P.S. I can't cook  :dunno:

Oh, I've never camped in a state park because of reading about "Park Nazi's" who go around looking for alcohol and people being too loud.  I'm not a lush, nor do I get drunk but I've also never set up a tent without a beer in my hand. Where do we canvas campers stand on beer? Is it evil, or do we just bring party cups?

Thanks!
