I posted campsite pics to web just now, so you can see each site.
https://canvascampers.com/inde.....lbum;in=16
If ? ask me, I have some notes.  Sites 144-146 share a gravel parking pad, as do sites 166-168, and 170 & 171(not as much gravel), and 175-179. Site 183 & 184 also share, so closely that I'd want someone I know sharing with me (they're long sites, but even so).  Sites 180 and 181 are paved and wide and individual and indicated as handicapped and have a bathroom right behind them that is not on map.  Site 136 shares access to sites 137 1nd 138.  Site 140 shares access to site 139.  All the sites on the group area share a large stoned loop, it has lots of room to get turned around.  No real division between these sites.  There are trees that denote site 149.

If you are coming off of Interstate 81, I would recommend taking Route 997, a nice wide 2 lane, to Route 30.  It cuts out alot of traffic lights along route 30. (unless of course you are looking for restaurants)  And I think where you have to turn onto Route 30 has a stop light.  I know for sure where you turn onto Route 233 there is a stop light and a turn lane.  You must go to the Park office (on left) to check in, there is ample parking and a driveway all the way around the office, so pulling in with camper is no prob.

If you've never driven much on Route 30, it is all stoplights.  So I would strongly recommend coming in from I81 side if you can.  The campground driveway is one way from low # to higher #'s, with a turn around at dumpstation if need be.  I didn't get entry sign pics, but they are standard PA state park, brown wood sign with white lettering.

Great to see another great Thankgiving turnout.
Becky, glad you and everyone else can make it.  Thanks for sharing the site photos, I've updated your link from the earlier post to them.

Where is this rally posted on the forums?  I only found it because the ad banner showed up at the bottom of the screen.  Anyway, put us down for 2 adults and definitely 1, but probably 3 kids, and maybe the dog.  Supposedly, the resident ballet dancers don't have Nutcracker practice that weekend, but the ballet school owner is famous for scheduling unannounced practices on off weekends.  We're in site 145.  Eilean will update what we're doing for the potluck as soon as she figures it out.

Oh Lord Bev! That bread is so good. I'll have to get out the fat clothes after this rally.

Put us in for cranberry relish and maybe apple cider. Joe: what kind of $$ do you want from each to help cover the cost of the turkeys?

Mapquest says it's only 11 hours each way. What are you waiting for?  😀

;D It's not the 11 hrs. each way! It's a "family" day with family who doesn't like to camp!!

A couple of years ago without any thought to the calendar other than choosing what DH and I liked as a get-away date, I booked 5 nights over the Easter weekend. You'd think my kids were wantonly abandoned and left to fend for themselves -- and they are all grown and married.  😮 ...And I'm in the church choir besides.

We had a great time!

Great to see so many coming out again, this campground/rally often sells out.

I think I have everything updated at the beginning if the thread.

I'll take care of the 3-4 turkey and gravy :chef: but will be taking donations for the gathering site and a 1/2 cord of firewood that we will have delivered... big campfires in November so pack your marshmellow.  :smore:  $10 per site should cover it if the size is typical.

Judy, My wife gave me a funny look when I said I want to go to the Thanksgiving rally  :blink1: Then I explained it isn't actually on Thanksgiving, it is 2 weeks prior.  Your kiddos won't feel abandoned.

See, that's exactly what I mean about checking the calendar, Lone Lock! ;D

At least I have hope. I always have a current calendar on a cork board in our camper and can refer to it while camping and, or course, have a few more at home. It's remembering to make time to read the calendar in between 2x/wk babysitting the 4 m.o. twins, dr. apptns. for DH and me, social lunches/dinners, and church stuff.

No one told me I would be this busy being retired! I know your rally is going to be great and hope y'all have great weather too. Will look for pictures when everyone gets back.  8)

I just booked site 140.  I should be there with my new to me Class C

Originally I was going to go alone and depending on how cold it was determined if DW and DS would go.  DW said with the Class C there is a much better chance of her and Nathan going.....I'm taking that as they are going!!! :crazydance:

Me, DW, DS 3yo and our dog.
