I'll go first.  Last year I added a microwave to the pup.

It is to go where the drawer is.

I had to do a little cutting and framing to get it to fit.  Here is the finished, well almost finished product.  I still have a little trim to do.  Since we set up our camp kitchen outside of the pup it is an easy reach in the door to use it.

Sorry I didn't think to get any during pics.

I did relocate the drawer to under the flip up sink.  It was just an open storage area before.

I am not a carpenter by any means but I think it turned out all right.

Of all the mods I have ever made that was the most convenient, the most useful, was installing an outside access door. This gave access to those items first needed when arriving at a campsite ~

sg1215 ~ that was some serious renovation and the end result looks great. About how many hours do you think you put into the project(?)

FLY:
It's hard to say how many hours. I didn't keep track of time or money. The work was done a little at a time as I have been taking care of a sick wife since June. The roof was almost done then sat for a month before I could get back to it. My wife is well enough now that I can leave  her by herself, and I'm really excited about  taking it out on the maiden trip.
I'm going fishing(flyfishing included) somewhere.... now if the weather would just co-operate.

FLY:
Is there a reason you didn't install the door so it would open down, so you wouldn't have to hold it up, when looking for something? I plan on doing this mod and am curious.

Two reasons for sure ... the first being that's the way it was designed, has a drip rail at the top for water runoff. And the second is if it happened to come open for any reason (including that you forget to secure it in the first place), it could be, or close to,  touching the ground and could very well get torn off.  At least the way it is installed the worse it could do is flap in the breeze. To ensure I didn't forget to close it I would always leave the keys in the lock!  Holding the door open to remove or replace anything was not that big of a deal ... could always use my head! (LOL)
