Hi Friends, not really camping related, but I figured the mods thread was probably most appropriate. I want to modify my utility trailer to be enclosed. I have to keep the weight as light as possible because I don't have much towing capacity and I'll litterally be hauling rocks (for my crystal business). I'm leaning towards metal studs for framing, with a thin layer of lauan for the walls (unless anyone has better sugestions). I wondered if anyone here would have recommendations on what material(s) to use over the siding and roof to make it water tight. Recommendations on where to buy would also be appreciated.

This is our trailer https://www.lowes.com/pd/Carry.....te/3699516

I did find this company that makes kits, but the response I got was essentially that they didn't think it would work with our trailer https://www.cover-tech.com/tra.....enclosures. The only other company I've found that does similar buids is in Minnesota and doesn't deliver.

Aluminum C challenge framing is the best option for strength and weight.  A slanted front would be the best for wind.  You will need to ensure everything is strongly attached to the frame—Bolt through or something similar.
