There are many foods related to the area we live and it would be nice to share them, maybe include a picture.

Scrapple, also known by the Pennsylvania Dutch.  It is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and wheat flour, often buckwheat flour, and spices. (From Wikipedia)

Ooooooh, Norm. I would love to have some of that [glow=red,2,300]Taylor's Pork Roll [/glow] again.

I used to get that for a 6th grade lunch at Stelton School in Edison, NJ, for 25 cents -- on a hamburger roll w/mustard and a pickle -- at the open air corner bar & grill adjacent to the Tasty Sub Shop. That sub shop still has no equal in all the states in which I've lived!!

^^ I think that's the more modern denotation of it. Remember, I'm much older than you!

I actually had my first (and maybe only) alligator bite from this gizmo Frank uses, and it DID taste like chicken - dry chicken. I should have tried the tiger sauce but wanted my first taste to be "pure." It was very good and muchappreciated as an ice breaker at a rally down in his state.

Judy, don't forget that down here in this area we love us some boiled peanuts especially in the fall! But all year long is fine also! '
Cajun flavored is getting very popular as well.

Tatertot hotdish, any hotdish in this area for that matter.
My dad's favorite, but I won't touch it, is SPAM.
I worked on a project a couple of years ago in Austin, MN and the gift they gave us was flavored cans of SPAM and a light up pig pen.

fried catfish, fried pickles, chicken fried steak, southern fried hicken, fried okra....see the pattern?

I make a mean squirrel stew ( only with certain types of squirrel)  and have substituted red tail fox on occasion...

home brewed sweet tea!

one of my favorites to make these days is Georgia Cornbread.  it is a 75 year old family recipe, and it has NOTHING to do with cornbread....heheh

PECAN PIE, Red Velvet cake, and Blueberry Delight !

boiled peanuts?  yes please !  cajun or garlic ranch ( I do live in the peanut capitol after all !)

and finally B A C O N !!!!  it is cooked with anything, and everything !

Well, Korea is a little different... One word-kimchi!

And a traditional Korean holiday meal - Lunar new year

And of course, Korean staples such as Philly cheesesteak and cheeseburgers!
